By downloading, installing, or using PlateUp ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

Service Description

PlateUp is an AI-powered meal planning application that provides:

  • Kitchen inventory tracking
  • AI meal plan generation
  • Recipe browsing and management
  • Macro nutrient tracking
  • Receipt scanning for inventory management
  • Shopping list generation

Account

To use PlateUp, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the app.

AI-Generated Content

PlateUp uses artificial intelligence to generate meal plans, recipes, and nutritional suggestions. Please note:

  • AI-generated content is provided as suggestions only and should not be considered professional dietary or medical advice.
  • We do not guarantee the nutritional accuracy of AI-generated meal plans or recipes.
  • Always verify ingredients for allergies and dietary restrictions before preparing any meal.
  • Consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
  • Abuse free tier features or circumvent usage limits

Intellectual Property

The PlateUp app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by PlateUp. Your personal recipes and data remain yours. AI-generated content (meal plans, recipes) is provided for your personal use and may not be redistributed commercially.

Subscriptions & Payments

PlateUp offers a free tier and a paid subscription (PlateUp Pro). Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

Disclaimers

  • The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for dietary decisions made based on app content.
  • Nutritional estimates may vary from actual values.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlateUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to health-related outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
